Dr. Beng Lin Liam (Singapore)
Internal Medicine, Respiratory Specialist
Dr. Liam joined the staff of Shanghai East International Medical Center in August 2011. He graduated from the National University of Singapore, and possesses a degree in Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom. He has also received training as a Fellow in Pulmonary Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic in the United States.
Dr. Liam has previously been deployed for humanitarian medical missions and commanded the Singapore component of the Australian-Singapore Hospital during INTERFET operations in East Timor, 1999. He held several medical command positions in the Singapore Armed Forces before retiring as a Colonel in 2006. He has been awarded operational service medals by the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Australia and Singapore. He has also been awarded the Public Administration Medal by Singapore for his contribution to Singapore’s efforts in overcoming the SARS epidemic in 2002. Dr. Liam has also given trainings in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (Instructor).

Dr. Ewelina Biskup (Germany)
Emergency Medicine
Dr. Biskup is a medical doctor of Internal Medicine working in China and in Switzerland. She has gained her MD at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics in Germany; and has also pursued medical trainings in Shanghai, Boston (Harvard Medical School Hospitals) and New York, followed by residency training in Switzerland.
Dr. Biskup has been a foreign lecturer at Shanghai Tongji University since 2011. She has also been appointed as an Associate Professor at the Shanghai University of Medicine and Science.
Dr. Biskup has worked in different countries and healthcare environments. She is a member and treasurer of the European Federation of Internal Medicine – Young Internist (EFIM-YI) Subcommittee; founder and representative of Swiss Young Internists; delegate of the Swiss Society of Internal Medicine; and a member of Science Matters. Dr. Biskup participates in different activities promoting clinical and scientific research cooperation among young specialists.
She speaks German, English, French, Russian, Ukranian and Polish.

Dr.Dongya Huang(China)

Dr. Dongya Huang started her study of medicine in Wuhan Tongji University School of Medicine and received further studies and clinical training in the Department of Neurology in Ulm University Germany, in Neurocentre of Freiburg University Germany, Baylor College of Medicine USA.
Dr Huang has been engaged in the neurological clinic work for over 30 years. Her major experiences include diagnosis and treatment of cerebral vascular disease (CVD) and neurodegenerated diseases, especially in treatment acute thrombolysis of CVD, in etiological diagnosis and targeted prophylaxis of CVD, early diagnosis and personalized management of Parkinson disease.
Dr. Huang is a member of many medical associations including the Association of EEG and Clinical Neurophysiology Committee shanghai, the Association of Stroke Committee Shanghai;Cerebral Vascular Disease Highest-Risk Group Administrative Board of China, Neurology Committee of Shanghai China Medical Association; editorial member of Journal of Tongji University, Journal of Chinese Clinical Medicine, Chinese Journal of Stroke. She is involved in projects of National Research, Shanghai Science and Technology Research, and PudongScience and technology project.
She has published dozens of articles in professional Journals including FASEB and PNAS.

Dr. Jiayi Wang graduated from Nanjing Medical University. With nearly 15 years of experience serving as both a resident and an attending physician, she has long been engaged in internal medicine clinical work; and has clinical experience in the treatment of common and frequently-occurring diseases.
She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension, coronary heart disease, hyperlipidemia, arrhythmia and other cardiovascular system and rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren's syndrome, gout, systemic lupus erythematosus, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis and other immune system diseases.
